Rick Resnick
YOGA TEACHER
With more than 20 years of teaching experience, Rick is one of Alaska’s most seasoned yoga instructors. His classes emphasize the power of steady practice to build physical strength, mental clarity, and emotional resilience.

Star Amoureux
YOGA TEACHER
Star discovered yoga over 27 years ago through Kundalini at the University of Oregon and has since explored a variety of styles. Her classes blend the best of Kundalini, Hatha, and other traditions, creating a dynamic and inclusive experience that welcomes all levels.

Kim Borke
YOGA TEACHER
With over 20 years of practice and a background in fitness, Kim blends strength, spirituality, and mindfulness in her classes. Her teaching style is grounded, uplifting, and community-centered, inviting students to move, breathe, and grow together on the mat.

Stefanie Dominguez

Stefanie’s yoga journey began as a path to self-discovery and balance. Her classes emphasize presence, compassion, and acceptance, encouraging students to meet themselves where they are and embrace growth both on and off the mat.

Alexi Hooper
YOGA TEACHER

Angie Stephens
YOGA TEACHER
Angie’s yoga journey began in 2009 and deepened through Jivamukti and Ashtanga training around the world. Her classes blend philosophy, movement, and music, offering a soulful practice that grounds the mind and uplifts the spirit.

Bonnie Easley-Appleyard
YOGA TEACHER
From training dolphins in Hawaii to researching polar bears in Alaska, Bonnie has always dreamed big. She brings that same curiosity and wonder to her yoga teaching, blending creative sequencing with mindful awareness. Her classes balance challenge and restoration, helping students connect deeply with their bodies and personal growth.

Nicole Staker
YOGA TEACHER
Nicole discovered Bikram yoga after moving from California to Alaska, instantly drawn to its challenge and transformation. A 2017 Anchorage Yoga graduate with advanced training in Hot 26, Restorative, and Mind Body Meditation, she teaches with warmth and curiosity, inviting students to stay open, vulnerable, and always learning.

Nafisa Abdul-Jillil
YOGA TEACHER
A professional dancer turned yoga teacher, Nafisa brings the same passion and discipline to her classes that fueled her career on stage. Her Bikram practice emphasizes focus, balance, and perseverance, encouraging students to find joy through strength and self-awareness.

Diana Saverin
YOGA TEACHER
Diana teaches vibrant vinyasa and restorative classes that balance movement and stillness. Rooted in her Laughing Lotus training, her teaching emphasizes creativity, mindfulness, and the joy of returning to the mat as an anchor in daily life.

Heidi Dessert
YOGA TEACHER
Heidi has been teaching yoga since 2009 across the U.S. and internationally. She is known for creating a welcoming space for beginners while challenging seasoned practitioners to grow. Inspired by community and nature, she credits yoga for her health and emotional well-being.

Sam Norman
YOGA TEACHER | THERAPIST
A longtime practitioner and Ayurvedic health counselor, Sam blends yoga, mindfulness, and self-care in her teaching. Her classes offer both a “work out” and a “work in,” guiding students toward balance, healing, and inner strength.

Melanie Duchin
YOGA TEACHER
Melanie began practicing Bikram yoga in 1995 after losing a bet—and never looked back. Decades later, she brings humor, intensity, and precision to her teaching, encouraging students to challenge themselves while keeping the practice joyful and accessible.

Heidi Weiland
YOGA TEACHER
Known as DJ Muse, Heidi merges her love of music, movement, and mindfulness to create transformative, embodied experiences. A longtime DJ turned yoga teacher and healer, she curates sound journeys that invite emotional release and joy. Her classes and sets hold space for expression, connection, and creative freedom.

Lauren Krigbaum
MASSAGE THERAPIST
Born and raised in Alaska, Lauren has been a licensed massage therapist since 2011. Drawing from Swedish, Thai, Ashiatsu, and barefoot techniques, she combines bodywork with breath and intuitive touch to restore balance and ease. Rooted in holistic wellness and nature, her sessions offer grounding, healing, and lasting vitality.

Janel Vculek
MASSAGE THERAPIST
Janel blends technical skill and soulful intention to create a calm space for renewal. Trained in Swedish, deep tissue, Lomilomi, and myofascial release, she approaches bodywork as a mindful practice—helping clients reconnect breath, body, and spirit with presence and ease.

Dori Hansen
MASSAGE THERAPIST
Dori Hansen, LMT is a barefoot (Ashiatsu) massage therapist who helps clients achieve a better quality of life through deep, intentional bodywork. A born-and-raised Alaskan, she specializes in chronic pain and hypermobility conditions, including Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), with a compassionate, client-centered approach. Her work is slow, intuitive, and supportive, focusing on nervous system regulation, improved mobility, and long-lasting relief. If you enjoy deep pressure, barefoot massage may be an excellent fit. Based in the Valley, Dori travels to Anchorage one day per week to serve the Anchorage Yoga community.
