Yoga is a lifelong process of discovery – the more that yoga lives in my daily routines, the more gifts I find in its practice. Initially attracted to the dynamic movement of yoga and the strength and flexibility it offered, I am now deepening my understanding of the mental strength and peace it can bring. Being in the moment and patience, routine and balance – these are not qualities that naturally befall me. They are qualities I search for in my life and yoga facilitates the journey.
I had practiced yoga for 10 years then my practice really fell off for a couple of years. The distance from yoga affected me dramatically and I deeply needed to regain my practice. I received my 200-hour yoga certification from At One Yoga in Scottsdale, Arizona and found my passion. I could combine my background in teaching with my interest in health and integrate it with the breath, mind and body practice of yoga. I am also a certified raw foods instructor and hope to fuse the two practices for an overall healthful routine of mind, body, breath and food.
I am excited to begin my yoga teaching career and to continue on my life-long journey with yoga. I am thrilled to be a part of the Anchorage yoga community. This journey is proving to be one of great joy and realization.
