Daniel Ward RYT

I began my personal Yoga practice as therapy for sports related injuries that were occasionally debilitating. I also found myself attracted to the spiritual and ethical aspects of yoga as well. My practice served me well for many years but I did become ambitious to improve my practice more than what I had achieved on my own.  I began taking formal yoga classes in 2005. My teachers have been Bruce & Karen Greenwood, Tom Light, Rick Resnik, and primarily: Katey Inman.

As instruction improved my practice the inspiration I have found has dramatically improved my quality of life. My experience has made me a firm believer in the power of Yoga to heal and strengthen bodies, even open hearts and transform lives. I enjoy Power and Vinyasa style Yoga, especially Katey Inman’s Hot Flow Fusion class.  In this practice I have learned to work with the energy of my body, accessing it to find the fullest expressions of each pose and the stillness that resides within them. Finding strength and stillness is bliss while moving in practice.

In May of 2011 I completed  a 200 hour Teacher Training Program @ Anchorage Yoga and am now sharing my passion for Teaching with the Anchorage Yoga community. If you are an early riser you can find me on the mat eager to guide students through what I consider to be the best part of the day. See you bright and early! Namaste-
